Chicken Pot Pie, posted by Sara


I make my in the morning and refrigerate until I am ready to cook


Mom's pie crust

1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. Salt
1 Tbs. Sugar
1 cup Shortening
Cut together with pastry blender. Then add 1 egg and 1/4 cup cool water
Makes 2 pies

1 Pie ( that you just made )
2 cups turkey or chicken
1 pkg peas
4 potatoes
1/2 cup onions
1 can cream o mushroom soup
1/3 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste

Cook chicken/turkey until done. Boil potatoes until 3/4 done. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Place in pie crust and cover with 2nd pie crust. Cut steam holes and bake 45-50 minutes at 375.

I like to make this dish after a big turkey dinner. You always have a ton of turkey left over and this is a yummy way to have leftovers.
